Alex Hill

Senior Director of Investments

Alex Hill joined Icarus in 2023 to run co-GP investment efforts and assist in firm’s capital markets transactions. Prior to joining Icarus, Mr. Hill spent ten years at Patterson Real Estate Advisory Group where he was a Managing Director & Partner. At Patterson, Mr. HIll executed on over $2.8BN of transactions, advising on and arranging capital structures for commercial real estate developers of all product types. Mr. Hill has a BA in Finance from the University of Georgia and began his career at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey (now Truist Securities) in the Structured Real Estate group where he participated in over $500MM in net lease transactions.

Alex Oliver

Managing Director

Alex Oliver founded Icarus Alternative Investments in 2016 after crafting a thesis around a low to no fee way for investors to get access to opportunistic real estate. Mr. Oliver is responsible for the overall firm strategy in addition to sourcing new opportunities. Prior to founding Icarus, Mr. Oliver spent time in Chicago at Hines Interests Limited Partnership working on multiple development projects and over $1BN in acquisition work. Mr. Oliver has a BA in Economics from the University of Georgia and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
